Come join us!
Since it’s inception, the plan for the White Mountain Wildlife and Nature Center has always been to open the organization for membership. With the success of the 2009 Discovery Program Series and the outstanding lineup of programs for this summer in place, the Board of Directors has determined that that time has arrived. An annual Membership Application is now available online and will be included in our new Nature Center brochures.
Membership will enable the Nature Center to realize it’s goals:
- Be a regional clearinghouse for all things environmentally related.
- Offer activities to foster sound natural resource stewardship.
- Promote sustainable living, green building, healthy forest, and FIREWISE principles.
- Diversify and promote a healthy local economy.
- Be a place where people have FUN learning about and discovering nature.
The majority of programs offered will still be offered free to the public but members will enjoy other benefits: membership pins and cards, member only events, reserved seating at selected programs, special access to speakers and animals, designated discounts on Nature Center items, discounted admission for paid programs, discounted annual dinner tickets, and of course all donations are tax deductible.
With the help of a committed membership, the Nature Center will be able to become an even more valued resource for the White Mountains.

The Nature Center is located at 425 S. Woodland Road in Pinetop-Lakeside, between Big Springs Environmental Study Area and Mountain Meadow Recreation Complex.
Additional information on the Nature Center, its complete schedule of programs, and the online Nature Store are available at www.wmnature.org or call (928) 358-3069.
