Making Our Communities Safe from Wildfire

duece of clubs and clark road

This photo was taken at the corner of the Deuce of Clubs and Clark Road, in Show Low, at the height of the Rodeo-Chediski fire.

Come join us on Saturday, June 19, at  10 am as we present programs on forest health, wildlife, and FIREWISE principles.

Our headliner is Jim Paxon, the retired Information Officer on the Rodeo- Chediski fire, who kept us all informed and calm during that devastating fire in 2002.

This, as are all our Discovery Series programs, is a FREE family-oriented event.  Come join us and find out why 323 individuals have attended our first four events events this year.  Seating is limited, so to insure a seat please bring your own lawn chair.

The Nature Center is located at 425 S. Woodland Road in Pinetop-Lakeside, between Big Springs Environmental Study Area and Mountain Meadow Recreation Complex.

Additional information on the Nature Center, its complete schedule of programs, and the online Nature Store are available at www.wmnature.org or call (928) 358-3069.
