ARIZONA SONORA DESERT MUSEUM
TO PRESENT AT NATURE CENTER
On Saturday, July 3, the White Mountain Wildlife and Nature Center continues the 2010 Nature Discovery Program Series with a focus on Birds of Prey and live birds.

The first presentation will begin at 10:30am with Susan Taggert, local Wildlife Rehabilitator. Susan will bring live birds she is currently caring for and discuss her role in area wildlife rehabilitation. Many people find injured animals and birds but do not know what to do with them. Susan’s presentation will answer those questions.
At 11:00am, representatives from the Arizona Sonora Desert Museum, Raptor Education Program, will present their program on raptors of the Southwest and bring live birds for demonstration. The presentation will focus on the behaviors of raptors such as hawks, owls, and falcons in the wild. The Desert Museum’s raptor programs are considered among the best by experts in the field. After the presentation, presenters and birds will remain for more questions and interaction with the public.
The programs will take place in the Nature Center’s new event pavilion, where there will be plenty of shade. Seating is limited, so please bring your favorite lawn chair to be sure you have comfortable seating for the programs.
The Nature Center is located at 425 S. Woodland Road in Pinetop-Lakeside, between Big Springs Environmental Study Area and Mountain Meadow Recreation Complex.
